My name is Chevas Balloun.

Before moving to Fort Collins, CO in 2010, I lived in the Seattle area for 17 years where I finished schooling and worked in different technical fields. In 2004 I built my first website, an e-commerce site that sold downloadable content. In 2005 I wanted to have a voice on the internet which led me to start a blog. As my passion for writing increased through blogging, the blog also became a platform for design experimentation.

In early 2007 I started designing curriculum for a Fortune 100 company and then transitioned to a different Fortune 100 company as a design consultant and project manager on a podcasting web platform. It was here that I started designing advertisements and brands in addition to websites.

I feel passionately about how I interact with the world. I believe it should be a rich and positive experience, whether I’m traveling, eating, communicating, or using websites. This passion is the foundation of how I approach design: it must serve the user well. I am an artist and a writer at my core: I write and draw one picture in my journal daily.

Ahead of designing things, I am a Christian living in grace. I love castles, knights, swords, medieval lore, journaling, drawing, beer, wine, theology, hiking with my wife and playing with my son.
